Of Woe and Lyrics Websites

Check out these lyrics for “Live Your Life” by T.I., as transcribed by this site:

Your values is in disarrayed prioritizin’ horribly
Unhappy with the riches ‘cause you’re piss-poor morally
Ignorin’ all prior advice and forewarnin’
And we mighty full of ourselves all of a sudden, aren’t we?

Now, a quick note about that song. Geeks, Urban Outfitters, and the club like it equally. Ponder on that one for a bit.

T.I’s got some elite rhyming. Heavy sticcato and a-syncopated rhymes and an overall supremely intelligent verse make up for its “holla” chorus.

Back to those lyrics, I don’t think enough attention is paid to the way these cheap-o sites construct their stanzas.

I do some creative things from time to time. Let’s see if I can do any better and respectfully dress up this excerpt:

Your values is in dissaray — prioritizin’ horribly
Unhappy with the riches
‘cause you’re piss-poor morally

Ignorin’ all prior advice and forewarnin’
And we mighty full of ourselves all of a sudden,
aren’t we?

A little better? Let me know. I’ll try my hand at the whole track.
